SEPTEMBER 3, 2004 – The day after Kerry’s speech closed the Democratic Convention, stories were everywhere about how Kerry didn’t get any bounce. And when I say everywhere, I mean all the places that people who don’t really even follow the news can’t help but see it. The homepages that open when they pop on the internet, like Netscape and Yahoo’s homepages; the local news programs; projected in the sky against the clouds with massive Batman-like gobos. Ok, this last one didn’t happen, but you get the point. Well, today is the day after Bush closed the Republican Convention and there has been no bounce. So where are the headlines? Right. None. You see, manipulation of the public via the medium is all about timing. To put the negative spin out that Kerry’s convention was a failure in a way that will reach most people, you must have it come immediately following the event and widely, basically universally reported. Wait even a day or two, and people’s attention spans have shifted. No, the bounce is not a story anywhere for the Republican Convention – yet. All the actual polls that say there has been no bounce are not being reported, but in a day or so there will be faux polls launched by right-wing shills disguised as pollsters, such as John Zogby, The Wall Street Journal, or one of the many other sources. And remember the name John Zogby. His Zogby polls, which are used by many major news sources, such as NBC, CBS, etc., are completely fictional distortions used to push public perceptions, as we’ve previously reported. The Washington Post ran a good article detailing his methods and that even ABC News refuses to use his poll info, calling him “not a reputable pollster.” (Here is a story we ran during the primaries catching Zogby lying to push his agenda, and here is the Washington Post story So while the “no bounce” stories are not there immediately following this convention to get into everyone’s brains and stir their perceptions, Zogby or some other right-wing shill – guaranteed – will pop in the fill the bizarrely silent polling void with a fake poll which will be used to create a false sense of Bush “momentum.” Just watch and see – they are very predictable in their methods at this point. Now, as for those of you who may truly still buy the fiction that, “FOX News is the Republican channel, but CNN is the Democratic channel,” it is time to help straighten you out once again. The simple reality is that virtually the entire non-Moderate Independent media is nothing but right-wing shill at this point. This includes FOX, ABC, much of NBC, though they are nearer to the center. CBS stands alone as one station that stands slightly left of center, which now should help you realize why Rather and CBS, whether it be with the Janet Jackson fiasco or the Reagan mini-series brouhaha, is constantly being attacked these days. In any case, if our earlier article on CNN reporter Christiane Amanpour telling how here station has been acting as right-wing shills and bullies, forcing reporters such as her to report with a right-wing bias (see: Amanpour Says She's Been Bullied To The Right) didn’t make things clear enough for you, here now is some further clarification: “Rush Limbaugh… has a new girlfriend--and it's a surprising coupling… She's none other than CNN anchor Daryn Kagan, reports Washington Post "Reliable Source" columnist Richard Leiby... They were spotted at a GOP party in a New York City restaurant co-hosted by Limbaugh. Among the political power big-wigs that showed up were Vice President and Mrs. Cheney, New York Gov. George Pataki and his wife Libby, and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist.” (see: http://channels.netscape.com/new/html/live/scoop/np/14.html or http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A58117-2004Sep3.html) No, CNN is not in bed with the Bush/Limbaugh right. Couldn’t be. But wait, what about CNN supposedly being part of a “liberal” media? Well the article makes sure to help keep that lie alive: “The coupling came as a surprise to some friends who consider the Atlanta-based Kagan part of the liberal media axis and a feminist," writes Leiby in the Post. Kagan hosts "CNN Live Today," which airs from 10 a.m. to noon.” Exactly, she is part of what we are told is a “liberal media axis.” Now you tell me, what liberal would consider doing anything but smacking Limbaugh? The articles try to make light of it, saying it “lends credence to the idea that opposites attract.” Nice, huh? Anyone with above a second grade IQ knows that no, not even a moderate, never mind a “liberal” would date Limbaugh and party with Cheney and Frist. CNN and FOX News are brother/sister. It’s reporters are either Limbaugh-loving right-wing hacks or abusively bullied into acting as right-wing hacks, as Amanpour admitted. Just note one last time, this is not just a CNN anchor, but one considered “part of the liberal media axis.” Right, she is exactly part of the liberal media axis that doesn’t exist – the “liberal media axis” that is a fictional creation of the Bush/Limbaughians which they use to simply get their followers not to listen to news reports that point out their lies and horrible record, the “liberal media axis” that, once it’s sheets are pulled, finds nothing but right-wing, Rush Limbaugh loving Republican agenda pushers. Welcome through the looking glass. Never be confused again. Come on Zogby, let’s see your fiction rolled out… UPDATE (8PM Eastern:) Here it is folks. Kerry's actual 4-6 point bounce never got reported (did you hear about it?,) but already Bush's right-wing buddies are putting out fictional polls for him. First out of the gate is the magazine owned by Saudi Arabians and which shills for President Bush regularly, Time. It is not just claiming that Bush has had a little bounce, but that he has opened up a double-digit lead. Read Betsy Vasquez' article from yesterday which reminds you of how these same lies were used last election to create the illusions of invincibility and inevitability for Bush. Notice in particular the dates this poll was taken - you see it is not a post-convention poll at all but was taken Aug 31-Sep 2. Well tell me, how did Bush get such a bounce before the convention speeches were even given? Answer: he didn't. The poll was taken during the convention because guess who is sitting around watching the Republican convention - and so near their phones ready to answer political polls? Right, people who like Bush, Republicans, Bush-liking Independents, and Bush-considering Dems. No credible source would take a poll during the convention and not know it would be biased. This is a simple tactic used by Saudi-owned Bush-buddy TIME. They then release this poll the day after the election but not until the end of the day, which will make people think there was enough time to make this a post-convention poll. (12:17PM Eastern)And right on cue, here is John Zogby, just as we told you: his fake poll only has Bush up two points, which shows you how bogus the Time magazine was is. But still, here are exactly the people we said would be out here, right-wing liar Zogby and the other Bush puppets, like Saudi-owned Bush-buddy Time. More to come for certain...
