JANUARY 23, 2003 –
Newsweek is saying, "Kerry is even ahead of Bush."
FOX News talked about how Kerry had
moved ahead of Dean, how Dean was even down to third place in one
poll. If you can imagine, they failed to mention who was in
second. Funny, huh? Yes, it was because it was General
Clark.
CBS TV
ran a report titled, "NH Looks Like Kerry, For Now," of which the
story is that John Edwards is set to move up after Kerry wins New
Hampshire. There is, again from Newsweek, a new national poll
- you know how these work now that we explained it - putting Edwards
in second nationally, ahead of both Dean and Clark, who are, they
tell us, tied for third.
One press outlet actually braved to have
a report about Clark. The
Washington Post talks about Clark finally, but only to say,
"Clark Express Losing Steam."
ABC News has an article on how the candidates are reaching out
to voters. Kerry is mentioned 13 times, not including the
photo lead in. Dean's name comes up 16 times. Edwards',
4. Clark, despite being ahead of Dean or tied in at least two
polls, ahead of Edwards in every poll, and leading many places
nationally, is only mentioned a single time, and it is only in a
very short, non-descript sentence in the middle of a paragraph.
And, Newsweek again, is has
Eleanor Clift figuring that Clark will be out soon, and
reporting that a supposed "Republican strategist" suddenly believes
that, "the White House would least like to run against Edwards."
At least she was honest about one thing - that she has been talking
to Republican strategists in order to do her report about the
Democratic race. In fact, she uses, of course, no Democratic
sources for her article, just this anonymous Republican strategist
and another anonymous, wise-cracking "Senate aide," who takes a
swipe at Al Gore.
Yes, she flat out admits she is just
writing as mouthpiece for the Republicans, pushing, and clearly and
obviously she is just pushing the strategy to try and force Clark
out and to prepare the Edwards push. Remember, this is in
Newsweek, as shared with MSNBC, both supposed mainstream,
non-partisan publications.
If we hadn't told you upfront in
this article
that for the Bush/Limbaughians the plan was to push first Kerry in
New Hampshire, then turn on him and push Edwards as the race moved
to South Carolina, you might think we were just having sour grapes.
But we told you in this report
over a month and a half ago that what is happening now - with the
media, acting in its usual right-wing puppet manner, trying to
install first Kerry, and already setting up the shift to Edwards
next - was what, at the behest of the GOP, the media was going to
do.
We told you exactly what would happen in
the debate, that Clark would be hit with the dishonest smear talking
points, and that afterwards the FOX News "analysts" would say Clark
did terribly and Kerry clearly won - and that Edwards did pretty
well, too. During the debate there were even more subtle
things going on that you may have missed, like Brit Hume, while
acting as moderator, chiming in every time Edwards was asked a
question to ask a follow up, making sure Edwards got as much TV
facetime as possible.
Wait, there's more. Fortune
Magazine is about to join the smear campaign, unleashing a complete
smear job in their supposedly non-political magazine on guess what
date? Yep, February 2nd, just the day before the next round of
primaries, leaving Clark no time to rebut.
And, just to make sure the smear has the
most powerful effect, they are leaking the story to certain
newspapers already, such as the
Union Leader.
The what?
Yes, this small newspaper will have the
scoop running today in their Sunday edition to start the smear ball
running (read
the smear.) Why the Union Leader? Because it is -
you guessed it - one of the biggest newspapers in New Hampshire and,
not so coincidentally, the paper that co-sponsored the debate with
FOX News this past Thursday. Birds of a feather work together.
Yes, by leaking this to the Union Leader
now, the smear hits just a few days before the New Hampshire contest
and then, when it officially comes out in the Fortune issue on Feb.
2, it hits again right before the next round of Feb. 3 contests.
Pretty nice work, huh?
The most important thing to notice is
how you feel about this now. Even though we told you a month
and a half ahead of time
this was the plan, and it is playing out exactly as we said it
would, you still have a bit of doubt in your mind that this is
really part of a right-wing "conspiracy," that the media is being
driven and completely controlled by the Bush/Limabughian's agenda,
and that this is why the elections are playing out as they are.
Right?
We told you, their control at this point
is that good. It is almost like a science. They can
install who they want at will and make it seem that they aren't
doing anything, that it is just the media - who they still pretend
is "liberal"-biased - doing a bad job.
That is a big part of their cover. They complain about the
media being biased against them, making any thought of them
completely dominating it unthinkable for many people.
Schwarzenegger never even answered a
reporter's question or participated in an unscripted debate - didn't
matter. Republicans have to pass the "drool test," Democrats
can pass the Bar exam it wouldn't matter at this point.
Make no mistake. Certain people
are happy about Kerry's fortunes at the moment. They see how
he is being treated now and are beginning to believe - as they are
being fed - that he is really even "ahead of Bush," and that the
media, who for year before never mentioned his name without
including the words "aloof" or "Northeast liberal," are really not
so bad after all.
People are also getting the idea that
they should be considering Edwards, but not too seriously just yet -
not until after New Hampshire. But right after that, Edwards,
they are being told in reports like the above one from CBS, might
just become the frontrunner.
As an M/I reader, you saw the script
ahead of time. You are now watching it all play out in the
theatre that America has become. Next you will see the media
drop Kerry like boring date, start sleeping with Edwards, all the
while keeping Dean in tow, making sure he doesn't get completely
buried, starting to bring him back up. They, in fact, will
start trying to bring him up now because he had sunk a bit too low
too quickly, and, outside of South Carolina, they need him to do
well in some of the Feb. 3 states. Because, remember, the
ultimate goal is not to have Kerry, not Edwards, but Dean as the
candidate.
Remember also, a week or two from now
how unlikely Dean winning seems to you at the moment - because by
then it will be back to Dean the inevitable one, the Iowa screech
written off.
This is the plan we told you about.
And you are seeing how widely and unanimously the rest of the press
plays along. There can be no doubt any longer that the GOP
absolutely pulls the entire non-Moderate Independent media's
strings, either directly through ownership and control or indirectly
through manipulation, such as the planned hit put on Clark by talk
radio and FOX News. Can you name one non-M/I media source that
reported about Hume's absurd behavior, or about the clearly provable
lies Gillespie and talk radio had been spreading about Clark for
weeks?
It is obvious. It is
unquestionable. And it is entirely unreported.
Except here, which is why our readership
is growing like wildfire.
The worst news of all in this is not
that our preferred candidate Clark is bearing the brunt of this, but
that the uncontested, ignored by the unaware Democratic candidates
power of the Bush/Limbaughians over the media will make it
absolutely certain that Bush wins re-election and the Bush-brand
blame-and-lie Republicans pick up even more seats.
One by one the Democratic candidates get
misled by the media talking sweet to them, first Dean, then Kerry,
then Edwards.
But, let something be clear. We've
informed the world. The information has gotten through to the
General Clark. As we grow and grow so widely and rapidly, we are
snapping people out of their daze. Now, the thousands who have
read about this all here will not be fooled again. The
candidates who learn about it from us won't be fooled again.
And, eventually, as talk radio did since it really began in the
early 1990's, we will knock the GOP's absolute domination of the
media and elections out of this free nation. The tide is
beginning to turn.
Stay tuned. There is a long way to
go before November.
