MARCH 10, 2004
– All you need to do is read this one sentence from this
CNN Article to get the idea:
“The U.S. military recently said it was
increasing efforts to find bin Laden, who has eluded the United
States for years.”
Now that statement should have any good
American swinging from the rafters and smashing glasses with rage.
Our military is telling us they have not been doing everything
possible to capture Osama bin Laden, the man behind 9/11? They are
proudly announcing that now they are, only years after the incident,
“increasing efforts to find bin Laden”?
You see this storyline all over the
media now. If fact, in case you haven’t noticed, you are pretty
much being fed a story a day now about how the hunt for bin Laden is
picking up steam, efforts are “increasing,” and we are finally
making an all out push to bring him in.
You may have noticed a few other things
as well.
A Republican Senator saying, as reported
on Feb 4 in places such as
this
article, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said of bin Laden,
““Obviously, he’ll be caught between now and the election.”
Iran coming out and saying bin Laden has
actually been caught a while ago and he is just being held to be
brought out closer to the election. According to a
KTVU TV
news report, “The report also said that U.S. Defense Secretary
Donald Rumsfeld's visit to the region (the week of Feb. 28) was in
connection with the arrest. All this created the bizarre
circumstance of US officials having to publicly deny Osama’s already
been caught.
Or how about as we reported in
this
article that at least four major news sources were reporting
that Osama would be caught "in all likelihood." Nope, check the
Guardian article above. (this article has since been removed from
the Guardian’s site – it used to reside
here ) The US Military is "sure" that Osama will be caught
before the election,” as part of a nicely timed, for political
purposes, Spring offensive.
Well guess what, people. You are now
seeing that plan play out right before your eyes. While other news
sources refuse to recall put it all together as a comprehensive
story, it is time for us Moderate Independents to look simply at the
reality and facts.
The first question to ask is would this
administration do something like time a big world event so important
to America deliberately for PR/political purposes?
The answer, we know from history, is
yes. And no, we are not talking about Saddam’s capture or even the
obvious rush to war during the 2002 election cycle. To see
something on this same level, it is best to go back to the first
Bush’s time in office, starting with the very inauguration of Ronald
Reagan.
Many people have heard of the
Iran-Contra affair, but they don’t make the connection to an
incident that was even more horrible than pretending Osama has not
been caught for political purposes. As Reagan was taking his very
oath of office, the hostages in Iran were being released – in what
was an entirely orchestrated piece of political theatre. You see,
the Iran-Contra, otherwise known as “arms for hostages,” scandal
involved secret deals to get Iran to free our hostages in exchange
for arms. This is simple publicly known fact.
So look at the scenario in its
entirety. For hundreds of days the nation mourned and suffered as
we waited for the release of our hostages. Ronald Reagan, George H.
W. Bush, and others in their administration arranged a covert deal
which didn’t free the hostages – no, instead it had the Iranians
hold the hostages for some days longer so that the release wouldn’t
happen on Carter’s watch but instead just as Reagan was taking
office, making him seem a wonderful, feared leader who Iran cowered
before. The very image created by this piece of orchestrated
theater – which played with the lives of the hostages, involved
illegal, covert deals, and dishonestly toyed with the emotions of
our nation, propelled Reagan for years and indeed the Republicans
for decades.
Holding bin Laden in captivity and only
bringing him out at a later time would be less shocking, as keeping
the long suffering hostages in Iran those extra days was cruelty
beyond anything imaginable, all for political ends.
So we know that the Reagan/Bush brand of
Republican has done this sort of thing before. This is in addition
to the memo found in 2002 that indicated the current President Bush
had timed the rush to war with Iraq to have the best effect for the
Republican Party during the 2002 elections.
Now the question is, knowing they would
do such a thing – have before – are they doing it now?
Well, look at the storyline. On
February 6, a little over a month ago, stories started leaking
around the globe about a planned spring offensive to find Osama.
Word starts leaking out overseas that the US military is “sure”
Osama will be caught before the election. Iran – the very nation
who was involved in this sort of thing with Bush, Sr., as they were
the ones who held the hostages until the inauguration - comes out on
the last week of February and says Osama has already been caught and
that the Reagan/Bush Republicans are going to play the game they
played in the past and time the roll out for when it will work best
politically.
March came and a spring offensive was
launched, confirming the reports from Feb. 6 – which were also the
ones which claimed the military was “sure” Osama would be caught
before the election (for those of you who are familiar with
“black-ops” – news stories dropped by our intelligence community for
propaganda purposes – they usually start with stories like this
overseas before playing out more subtly later on at home.)
Which brings us up to now. A story is
playing out in the news now on a daily basis. For years now, we
have been, supposedly, hunting Osama all out – if we haven’t been,
the entire military and administration should resign immediately.
But all of a sudden now, just on the
schedule we have been told the roll out of Osama’s capture will
occur, the media is suddenly carrying a “build-up” type storyline on
a daily basis, using phrases like “heating up” and “increasing.”
Every day the hunt for Osama is suddenly in the headlines. Where
has it been for these years?
We are supposed to believe that the
efforts to catch Osama are increasing, that we finally are deciding
to use this or that technology that requires a new front page
story. Do you mean to tell us that we have not been doing
everything possible to catch Osama thus far?
There are only two conclusions that can
be drawn from what we are all witness to.
One, that President Bush has not been
going all out after Osama, but only now, years after the fact, is
finally getting around to going after the man responsible for 9/11 –
which makes his main campaign claim, that his response to 9/11 is an
immensely strong point – completely reverse, and instead brings up
the reality that, if he really hasn’t been going after Osama all
out, and only now is, finally, “increasing” efforts to catch him,
that he should be impeached for failure of his basic duties as
Commander-in-Chief.
Now while the above scenario is
possible, that the President has completely neglected to put all of
our effort into the actual War on Terror, instead being diverted by
other things like Iraq, and so he is an absolute disgrace as a
Commander-in-Chief – even though this scenario is possible, it seems
highly unlikely. It is simply not believable that President Bush
has not had our military doing everything under our power to find
and capture Osama – or that our military would have stood quietly
for anything but an all out effort.
So that brings us to the second option.
That Osama is already caught, and what you are witnessing now is
just the non-M/I media being played – as usual – to create a subtle
enough storyline so when Osama is dragged out of wherever he has
been held by us it seems genuine and not orchestrated for political
purposes.
It is simply not believable that efforts
to catch Osama are just being increased now. It is simply not
believable that only now is an offensive being launched to catch
Osama. It is simply not believable that suddenly – with no actual
change in the situation regarding Osama suddenly the hunt for him is
front page news everyday. It is simply unbelievable that, having
known the region where Osama is supposedly hiding for years now,
things are just “heating up” in perfect timing for Bush re-election
purposes.
The thing about truly professional liars
is that they tell lies so boldly, obviously transparent. An amateur
liar is careful not to lie to obviously – these professionals know
the bigger, more obvious the lie, the more people will believe it as
they will think, “Oh, come on, they wouldn’t do something so
obvious.”
As they say in medicine, if you hear
there is a horse, don’t assume it’s a zebra. What we are seeing,
quite simply, looks like the standard black-op type propaganda roll
out of the coming fake, timed for political purposes “capture” of
Osama bin Laden.
Now it may be the more complex,
zebra-like scenario whereby the President has been completely
negligent in his efforts to fully go after Osama. But we will give
him the benefit of the doubt, assume he and our military were going
after Osama full out all along, and simply call this horse as we see
it: my friends, this summer’s theatre masterpiece will be a
presentation of the play, “The Capture Of Osama By President Bush.”
If our military has been going after Osama all along, then the only
reason "increasing" effort stories would be running right now would
be as part of an orchestrated, propaganda-led roll out of an already
caught Osama.
And just to get a step ahead of things,
we have seen the Bush election strategy, as used in 2002, is to use
world events to suck all the media air out of things, in effect
taking any chance of the Democrats being heard away from them. So
expect that if such a roll out of Osama comes soon, that he will
then be brought to America and the storyline will become daily
coverage of the “Trial of Osama,” which will surely occupy front
pages and Americans’ minds throughout the next election cycle.
Even so, we think Bush will be in
trouble next election. |
